2011 Latin Grammy Awards

The 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were last night, taking place at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas. Stars from the Latino entertainment world strutted down the green carpet to celebrate the years best in music.

Calle 13 sweeps the competition: The Puerto Rican music duo made Latin Grammy history last night. They were nominated for 10 awards and took home 9. They broke the record for most Grammy awards won in a career and in one single night. Accepting one of their 9 awards, one half of the duo, Rene Perez had tears in his eyes when he exclaimed “Puerto Rico inspires him.” “Que via la musica! Que viva Latinoamerica!” he chanted onstage.
