Ah, Fitty. Though his reputation does not do it justice, he has some of the best witty retorts in the business.
My new favorite quote from Curtis Jackson is from an interview he gave to XXL Magazine pertains to Kim Kardashian, and goes like this:
"I mean. If that man feels like she's perfect, then she's perfect. He could mean it and you'll end up singing the words to it because he's Kanye. You know how it is? One man's trash is another man's treasure."
The observation was an answer to a question about Kanye’s new lovingly titled ode to Kim called “Perfect Bitch.”
Most of the world would quite agree with 50, it seems—people are experiencing Kardashian fatigue en masse, especially the gatekeepers of the high-fashion world, who she and her beau are repeatedly trying to woo (Anna Wintour shares 50’s sentiment and banned Kim from the Met Gala).
One executive of New York Magazine summed it up nicely: “I think she sees fashion as another means for making money. I don’t think she’s ever going to want to go to a fashion show for her love of clothes. She’s going to want to get paid for going to that show.”
Kim and Kanye have most recently displayed their grievous lack of taste in a few Twitter pictures of Kim wearing Kanye-“designed” Drunken Sherpa boots that cost $6,000. Shameless self-promotion has a cost, Kimye, and just one part of the bill is 50 Cent’s wise ire.
