After 50 Cent publicly feuded with his label, especially after this song leaked early, 50 cent finally releases a new single, "I'm On It."
The song is produced by The Cataracs, the same guys behind "Like A G6" and would have been on 50's upcoming "Black Magic" album, which has now been scrapped.
The song is one of those ego anthem "look at how much money I have" tracks, but the faux girlie chorus, "I hustle hard, omigod, look at me, I'm so rich," could easily be the lyrics to a Ke$ha song, and I think that's what makes this song so great.
Lots of rappers have songs called "I'm on it," J.Cole, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa all rap about "being on it" but I bet none of them have lyrics like fiddys, "I'm chinchillin / crystal spillin'" raps 50.
Ahhh sheit! Did he just rap about a chinchilla? OH NO HE DIDN'T!
Also, cool word play like, "Me I'm so B.I.G / Notorious ya dig?"
After feuding with Interscope, 50 unleashed a tirade of NSFW tweets about how much he hates his record label. He was first angry that they were moving too slowly with the release of his album but then when they cancelled his album altogether, 50 threatened to leak Dre's single "Psycho."
if this song is any indication, Interscope was pretty dumb to cancel an entire album that could have been just as good.
The song is available on itunes on August 16.
