Lambert is reportedly returning to the show that made his famous next week. But this time around, he’ll be mentoring the contestants! The news broke today after an email from Sony music leaked online. The email, which was then posted in a Twitpic reads:
“FYI: Adam Lambert is going to be the mentor on American Idol. Adam will mentor the contestants from the perspective of a former contestant (which has never happened before). Tuesday show mentoring, and then Adam will perform ‘Whataya Want From Me’ on Wednesday. Adam will own American Idol next week! THAT'S a LOT of audience talkin'..."
Lambert then tweeted the news himself, writing, “It's true! In addition to performing on Idol April 14th, I will be mentoring the top 8 on the 13th. I feel honored to be asked.”
He later added two more tweets that read: “Even though I'm just at the start of my recording career, I hope to lend some insight as one who's been thru the Idol adventure. excited!!” and “Don't worry America: I will be beyond family friendly. Relax and enjoy. For Your Entertainment.”
Hopefully Adam can infuse some of his talent into this year’s contestants, who have yet to wow us like he did last season! Aside from Crystal Bowersox, no one in the competition this year holds a candle to him!
