Adam Lambert must be looking for a little attention! He’s just launched an attack on a certain singer that rose to stardom the exact same way he did—through a reality singing competition. And that little singer’s name is Susan Boyle!
Adam thinks Susan did a horrendous remake of the track “Wild Horses,” and that it actually made him laugh! He’s also a little bitter by the fact that Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream beat out his debut album last year, For Your Entertainment.
“If only it weren’t for Susan Boyle! I’m happy for her success, but that album is terrible,” Lambert told Britain’s Gay Times.
Adam especially hated the one song, saying, “Wild Horses is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!”
Adam also admitted to feeling like he had to prove something once Idol was over. “Still, when my album charted, it was validating. I was feeling bit attacked, like I had to vindicate something. I thought: ‘Wow, look what I did,’” Lambert added.
We never like when artists put other singers down while promoting their own work—especially when it’s Susan Boyle! Both she and Adam are very talented in their own ways, and hopefully his next album won’t come out right when hers does again!
