It’s Bond. Adele Bond.
The 21 singer confirms a rumor about as secretive as her pregnancy today. Adele, who’s expecting her first bundle of joy with her BF Simon Konecki, took to her Twitter to post this image:

Adele uploaded the image with no words—just her hand and a vicious set of all-black dagger nails that say more than 140 characters ever could. Front and center is the sheet music to “Skyfall,” the recorded theme which shares the same name as the next Bond installment.
That “A. Adkins” refers to Adele, of course, who wrote the theme alongside oft-collaborator and producer Paul Epworth. The two hope to score another hit after striking Grammy gold with “Rolling in the Deep,” except maybe this time it’ll be to the tune of Oscar…
She followed up the announcement with something more formal—an Adele-penned statement on the James Bond Facebook page:
"I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for SKYFALL. There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul [Epworth] had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I'm sure!"
Adele joins the ranks of other musical Bond girls and gentlemen like Alicia Keys, Jack White, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Duran Duran, Chris Cornell and others.
Will “Skyfall” rise up and beyond the hype? Or crumble and fall? Find out when it premieres this Friday, October 5 (7:07 a.m. EST), preceding the film’s American release on November 9.
