Could this be alluding to starting over after her ex, Ryan Reynolds? It can't feel all that great that he just married Scarlett Johansson in a private ceremony over the weekend.
The song is really pretty, and a lot less whiney than we're used to hearing Alanis be.

She tells Venice magazine, "I put that (book) away for a while... This whole deadline thing didn't quite work... and there were lots of changes going on in my life then; not a good time to have a big book deadline."
Alanis, who now wants to "reinstated the whole journey" will be working with a new editor. "She's not so much an editor as someone who's going to be midwifering the whole project. I’m thinking of the book as a service... decidedly not a memoir."
On the up side, heartbreak has always been good for her career.
