Alanis' Book Back On

Now that Alanis Morissette's ex fiancé Ryan Reynolds is engaged to new love Scarlett Johansson, Alanis has some heartbreak tales to tell.

She tells Venice magazine, "I put that (book) away for a while... This whole deadline thing didn't quite work... and there were lots of changes going on in my life then; not a good time to have a big book deadline."

Alanis, who now wants to "reinstated the whole journey" will be working with a new editor. "She's not so much an editor as someone who's going to be midwifering the whole project. I’m thinking of the book as a service... decidedly not a memoir."

On the up side, heartbreak has always been good for her career.
