According to the New York Times, Alicia Keys and many musicians' Myspace profiles have been attacked by hackers. The hacker’s plans are to spread “socially engineered attacks” and have visitors download fake codecs, making their computers a target for future invasions.
It is still very unclear how the pages were compromised, and experts are warning visitors that the website is an unsafe place to visit right now. The hackers do whatever they can to get you. Especially, having a website like Keys which is very populated, can result in many hacked pages.
A Myspace spokesperson told PC World that the company is taking measures to prevent incidents like this to ever occur again.
So all you Myspace freaks, watch out.
