David Cook Working Hard On His Album

American Idol Winner David Cook is working hard on releasing his first solo album after his big win. He's teaming up with Grammy-winning producer Rob Cavallo for the venture, who has worked with such artists a Green Day, Kid Rock, Eric Clapton, Clapton, My Chemical Romance, Goo Goo Dolls and the Dave Matthews Band.

Cook's been a little busy these days on the road for the American Idol Live Tour, so on his down time, he's been doing the majority of his writing.

The tour has about a month to go, wrapping up in Tulsa, OK on September 13th. He tells Billboard he hopes to have 20 tracks on the album. The album will drop in November, on the same day as David Archuleta's. Wonder who will sell more copies??
