After Amy Winehouse's untimely passing over the summer, many assumed that there would definitely be a biopic about her life. Films like "Ray," "Selena" and "Walk The Line" all were successful flicks that served to honor and immortalize their music subjects, so an eventual biopic about Amy Winehouse's life seemed like an appropriate and a good idea.

However, Amy's dad Mitch Winehouse says that will never happen.

Even with her successful posthumous album, her dad says that he owns the rights to all her music and doesn't want them to be used in any film. He told the UK Daily Mail that he will "never allow the songs to be released."

Technically there could be a film about her life, it just won’t have any Winehouse music in it, and what's the point of that? Or to quote Mitch Winehouse, "It would hardly be a biopic without the music."
