The Arctic Monkeys had a sold out concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden this past weekend, and according to the thousands of people who were lucky enough to attend, 'twas a show for the ages. The British indie rock band apparently had fans lined up outside the venue for hours before the show, but the general consensus was that the show was completely worth the wait.
First off, Deerhunter opened the concert and were a great lead-in with neon lights and fog machines complementing the sound of their latest album, Monomania.
Then Arctic Monkeys took the stage, and according to the set list, played all their hits and more.
The band rocked out with a giant "AM" in lights behind them...
The group's lead singer Alex Turner made all the women in the crowd swoon.
The Brits also happened to be playing on the same night of the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' first show in America on "The Ed Sullivan Show." As a form of tribute, they closed out the performance with a gorgeous version of The Beatles' "All My Loving."
We really missed out on this one, especially since that Beatles tribute was probably the only one for this show. Just look at the fan reviews!!
So…anyone got any tickets they wanna sell for their next show? Please?
