Move over, Liam, Louis, Zayn, Harry, and Niall. There are five new boys—Cole, Dalton, Dana, Gabe, and Will—in town with sights to make their name and #5ers hashtag known and known to all: IM5.
Mentored by “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller, the man behind Madonna’s Super Bowl show Jamie King, and entertainment blogger and devout music fan Perez Hilton, IM5 is the result of a tireless search for five young guys—they’re all between 14 and 16 years of age—who can sing, dance, and do an N*SYNC “I Want You Back” and Cher Lloyd “Want U Back” mash-up like no other.
This past year has been a road of intense vocal training, dance lessons, and meet-and-greets around Hollywood. All that singing, dancing, charisma, and hard work finally premiered with their first music video “Zero Gravity” last month where we saw the group to be more in step with turn-of-the-century Y2K boy bands who have an added premium in the dance department. A visual shake up to today’s current boy bands that seem to sort of just sing in unison while standing on stage in the latest clothing from H&M.
The latest on their plate is the Teen Music Fest where you can see the new group take the stage in Chicago, Baltimore, and Uniondale, New York next month. If you can’t check them out, you can watch their new video here:
