She was, in fact, name-checking Martin Kierszenbaum, her frequent songwriting and producing partner.
There’s an army of people behind most of the songs you’ll be bopping along to this summer—writing them, mixing them, producing them, singing them—but not many songwriters can boast working with the likes of Lady Gaga and Robyn. After leaving Interscope, he founded Cherrytree Records, whose roster includes LMFAO, La Roux, Feist and Far East Movement.
Martin can, and that certainly gives him a lot of cred in the music making arena as he launches his own first single and its remixes, “Come Back From San Francisco”. The track is what you’d expect from a man who helped Gaga become a household name: it’s bright, addictive and beautifully produced.
So while you continue to enjoy Martin’s brilliant work without even knowing it, definitely keep a close eye on his side project, Cherry Cherry Boom Boom.
