Not to be confused with the girl group formerly known as the Lylas on “The X Factor”…
Combining R&B soul with layered production and the harmonies of four finely tuned voices, the Lylas are the latest act to catch our attention.
The group happens to all be Bruno Mars’ sisters, so their sound comes with some serious expectations… and they deliver.
Four gorgeous Filipino and Puerto Rican ladies— Presley, Tiara, Jaime, and Tahiti—compose the girl power quartet, whose name is an acronym for “love you like a sister.”
In January the girls released their debut single, “Come Back,” along with an accompanying video. A full studio album is expected in Oct. 2013.
In addition to making a splash in the recording scene, the girls have scored their own reality series deal with WE TV. The show will document the sisters’ journey from Hawaii to Los Angeles as they record their first LP.
On the project, WE TV's senior VP of production and development Lauren Gellert tells Variety:
“The Lylas are fierce, independent women leaving their home for a chance of pursuing their love of music … Their story is one filled with all of the drama and chaos that comes from making a major life change.”
