Avril Lavigne Goes Solo for 2008 Tour

Pop rock princess Avril Lavigne kicked off her 2008 North American tour with an intimate acoustic session held at the Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood.

Lavigne told fans and media her days of joining her all-male bandmates on the tourbus are over because she no longer feels like "a tomboy". She will be hitting the road in a specially designed bus just for her. She said, "I'm a bit more girly now."

Personally I'm not an Avril Lavigne fan so I wouldn't go to her concert anyway, but what do you guys think about her solo venture? Is it selfish or understandable?
