It’s a rare feat when a capella stretches from the realm of band geeks to cool kid table status, but somehow this ensemble from the University of California at Santa Cruz has made it happen. This video has “viral” written all over it.

Acquire, a co-ed student only assembly, combines a concoction of vocal range, beat boxing, an echo-y environment, and—yeah—jazz hands, to bring you one of the most satisfying interpretations of AWOLNATION’s radio hit “Sail” that you'll probably ever see.

According to the vocal-only group’s official site, Acquire formed in 2007. Currently, the group is made up of 20-ish UC Santa Cruz students, seen in the video above.
