Axl Rose to Give First Live TV Interview in 20 Years

Welcome Axl Rose to the late night talk show jungle.

The Guns N’ Roses singer will chat mano-a-mano with host Jimmy Kimmel on October 24 in what’ll be A.) the first live broadcast interview in over two decades, and B.) epic.

The mysterious, reclusive, and eccentric Rose has had a thorny history with the press—he rarely engages with the media and is notorious for his tardiness and keeping scheduled commitments.

You might want to start a pool in your office and place your bets on whether or not Axl will even show up for the Jimmy Kimmel Live! engagement and satiate fans’ questions.

From not showing up to the band’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction earlier this year to the animosity between him and Slash since forever, there’s a lost of territory for Jimmy to cover here.

Though, if Axl did rip a page out of his own rock ‘n’ roll manual and canceled at the last minute, it wouldn’t do much in promoting his band’s upcoming twelve show residency at Las Vegas’s Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The “Appetite for Destruction” run kicks off on Halloween and no, that’s not Axl dressing up in a homemade Kid Rock costume. That’s just how he looks now.

The last time Axl appeared in a televised Q&A was November of last year, when VH1’s That Metal Show went backstage at a Guns N’ Roses show in Miami. He didn’t say anything entirely earth shattering, notable merely because it was his first of any kind in over ten years.
