Shaun White, the carrot-topped snowboarder whom you know best for his drunken underwear escapades, is in a new band called Bad Things. And, since everything this “Flying Tomato” prodigy has touched throughout his 26 years of existence seems to turn to gold, we’re paying close attention. Based on what we’ve heard so far, though, it ain’t half bad.
Bad Things made a special appearance at this year’s Lollapalooza and they’re planning a release of their debut self-titled album in October. The group, a five-piece, pulls inspiration from the Beach Boys and Oasis.
Despite all his current extreme sports business ventures, White insists to Rolling Stone that this project is a “very serious thing,” an attitude that comes through in both the group's live and studio presences.
