President Obama Sings Al Green's Let's Stay Together- Not Bad

President of the United States of America? Or President of the United States of American Idol?

President Obama randomly showed off his vocal pipes last night and proved that the president can sang!

During an Obama fundraiser at the Apollo Theater last night in New York City, the president busted out a few lines of “Let’s Stay Together” by the great Reverend Al Green. Why? Because Al Green was in the audience last night and Obama wanted to honor his music idol.

I dunno if he was inspired by the Apollo, or what this singing has anything to do with his re-election, but it was definitely cool.

No matter who you’re voting for during this years re-election, I’m pretty sure we can all agree that Barack Obama is the best when it comes to singing. What’s up with raising taxes? I dunno, but President Obama is leading the polls when it comes to carrying a tune.

The audience started cheering out of control after he debuted a couple lines from the song and I think it’s safe to say, no-one thought he could sing that well.

In other Obama and music news, back in 2008, Obama was asked what some of his favorite songs were and he listed, “Touch The Sky” by Kanye West, “Yes We Can” by and “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye, to name a few.
