Kanye West Scores Seven Nominations for BET Awards
Kanye, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé are leading the way at this year’s BET awards.

The nominees for the July 1 ceremony were announced on Tuesday and the hip-hop trio are by far the most honored on the list. They received 18 nominations, seven of which belong to Yeezy.

Rocketing the artist in the top position was his recent collaboration with Jay-Z Watch The Throne. The duo dropped the album last year, marking their first full studio LP together after long time collaboration work on each of their respected singles.

The nominations that Ye’s celebrating this morning include:

Best Collaboration (The Throne - “Otis”)

Like her man, Beyoncé earned two of her six nominations in the video category for her work in songs “Love on Top” and “Countdown.” Beyoncé is also up for Best Female R&B Artist against names like Mary J. Blige and Rihanna. Both Ye and Jay-Z are absent for the solo list of Best Male Hip-Hop Artist.
