The nominees for the July 1 ceremony were announced on Tuesday and the hip-hop trio are by far the most honored on the list. They received 18 nominations, seven of which belong to Yeezy.
Rocketing the artist in the top position was his recent collaboration with Jay-Z Watch The Throne. The duo dropped the album last year, marking their first full studio LP together after long time collaboration work on each of their respected singles.

The New York chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists is awarding Beyonce with first-place in the category of the arts & entertainment for magazine journalism. The award is an honor of a story she wrote for Essence magazine.
