Earlier this week, Forbes declared Beyoncé the #1 Most Powerful Celebrity in the world. Her husband Jay Z sits beneath her on the list at #6. If that’s not an unstoppable power couple, we don’t know what is.
However, as you may already know, everything isn’t all that peachy with Jayoncé. Rumors have been swirling that hip hop’s most powerful couple is on their way to a divorce. With the elevator beatdown incident, cheating rumors, and now Beyoncé is changing lyrics to her songs at concerts to hint at Jay’s infidelity (WHAT?!?!).
At Jay and Bey’s Cincinnati stop on their On The Run tour, Beyoncé took the stage to sing her track “Resentment” from her 2006 album B'Day. Dressed in a wedding gown ensemble, Beyoncé changed the lyrics in the line “Been ridin’ with you for six years...” She replaced “six years” with “twelve years,” the number of years she’s been with Jay Z. Eeeeek. The song is about infidelity and the resentment that one feels towards their other half for cheating.
So what does it all mean? Inside sources tell Stereotude that just like any other couple, they’re going through a rough patch. The two are solid as a rock and they can make it through anything.
Hmmm...it’s all up in the air. We’ll all have to wait and see what happens. Are you rooting for Jayoncé? Do you think Bey is too good for him? Do you think Jay actually cheated? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
