Beyonce may have a growing baby bump, but that’s certainly not going to slow her down. Queen B caused an uproar when she made a surprise appearance at the University of Houston on Monday.
Just minutes after Beyonce was spotted in the audience, word spread like wildfire on Twitter and hundreds of students rushed to the university to catch a glimpse of the superstar. I would too. I’d literally drop everything for a quick peak at B and her growing belly.
According to Rap-Up, Beyonce showed up to her hometown university to support her mother, Tina Knowles, who was being honored for her accomplishments as a mother, a businesswoman and a philanthropist.
After being honored, her mother Tina was interviewed for the Friends of Women’s Studies Living Archives program, and B proudly looked on. What a treat for the audience. I wonder if they honored Tina in hopes that Beyonce would show up? You know you were thinking the same thing.
So what did Tina Knowles talk about during her acceptance speech? Her Walmart clothing line, how she designed costumes for Destiny’s Child and her dedication to her daughters.
And speaking of Destiny’s Child, Hollyscoop recently spoke to B’s bestie Kelly Rowland who gushed about what a great mother Beyonce is going to be.
"I'm not pregnant but she seems to be fine and she seems happy and excited about the pregnancy," Rowland told us. She added: "I know she'll be a wonderful mom."
And still, we haven’t heard any news about the sex of Beyonce's baby. If Kelly knows, she's certainly keeping tight-lipped about it.
"That's not my news to tell. That's Beyonce and her husband's news to tell. It would be disrespectful."
So any chance for a Destiny’s Child reunion after Beyonce gives birth? Don’t count on it. "We haven't talked about it,” Kelly told Hollyscoop. “It hasn't been anything that we brought up or bring up, even in conversation now. We're just respecting each other and our personal spaces and lives and just chilling."
Beyonce’s hubby Jay-Z also recently (finally) opened up about his wife’s pregnancy. When asked how he feels about the upcoming baby, and he said: "I'm excited! I think that is pretty easy.”
It’s easy to say it’s easy when you’re not the one carrying the baby for nine months and then giving birth. But hey, as long as he’s supportive, right? Do you think Beyonce and Jay will have a boy or a girl? What’s your prediction?
