UPDATED: FULL VIDEO BELOW
While most pregnant celebs do everything in their power to avoid looking pregnant on camera, Beyonce is flaunting her baby bump in her new music video and loving it! Other pregnant ladies will change around shoot dates to avoid being filmed with a bump and will only wear a lot of strange empire waisted dresses, but Beyonce is strapping that belly into a leotard and isn't sorry about it.
However, Beyonce showing off her new belly is no accident. She just released a 30-second sneak peek of her new video for "Countdown" which is very timely because Queen B is counting down to the arrival of her unborn child. Get it? Countdown? Anyways, moving on.
Dressed in a beatnik-black turtleneck and close cropped black wig, she looks very Mod. She dances around and flutters her eyelashes and still has that Beyonce swagger despite having a bun in the oven. No other artist could make a music video while pregnant. Somehow, Beyonce avoided getting puffy and pregnant-looking. Why don't celebs gain pregnant weight like everyone else??!!?!
The song counts down from 10 to 1, boasting lyrics like, "I'm trying to make us three/From that two/He's still the one." Omigod, more baby references!
Beyonce's bump is way larger than when she debuted it at the MTV Video Music Awards, where there were rumors that she was even wearing a prosthetic stomach to make it look larger.
Beyonce prances around the video in bright 1960's color blocking, oversized hats, and sporting an Audrey Hepburn haircut like that from Hepburn's movie "Funny Face." She's also rocking some skinny black pants that pay homage to both Hepburn and Michael Jackson.
The full-length video for the song will premiere tomorrow. Even with a growing baby that doesn't mean Beyonce will stop working.
She told the Associate Press last month, "It is the most powerful creation for you to be able to have a life growing inside of you. There is no bigger gift, nothing more empowering."
This new song samples the Boyz II Men song, "Uhh Ahh." Last week Boyz II Men talked to MTV about Beyonce's use of their song on her track, "I thought it was very clever. She's a clever artist. She's one of the best in the business right now. I guess you can say we finally got our duet with Beyonce."
"Countdown" is the fourth video from Beyonce's Album, "4." First she debuted the girl power anthem video for "Run the World (Girls)," then her fictional wedding in "Best Thing I Never Had," and then her sultry homage to herself in the video, "1+1."
Beyonce also filmed a video for the song, "Party" in August...so we can probably expect another video guest starring her baby bump.
