Beyonce's '4' Album Debuts at Number 1

What do you do when everyone expects your album to flop? Put on the shortest dress you can find, the highest heels in your closet and you go out and put on an amazing show on stage.

That’s exactly what Beyonce did when critics bashed her new album “4” and she definitely got the last laugh. Her new album debuted at number 1 on the billboard charts.

“4” sold 310,000 copies in the first week. Her singles “Run the World (Girls)” and “Best Thing I Never Had” also did fantastic. “4” also claimed the third largest sales week of the year following Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”, which sold over 1.1 million copies and Adele’s “21” which sold over 351,000 copies, reports Rap-Up.

B’s last album “I Am” sold over 428,000 copies opening week, while “Sasha Fierce” got over 482,000.
