How the hell did Beyoncé pull off that game-changing visual album???

Who directed those amazing masterpieces of visual art?

Finally, we get to find out in this behind-the-scenes video of the making of "Haunted" and "Superpower", both directed by Jonas Akerlund. The BTS video starts with Jonas getting a phone call about the idea of the visual album. "To be honest, this is the first I hear of this!" he says.

All Jonas Akerlund-directed music videos are "a little bit more than music videos" (i.e. Lady Gaga's "Telephone" feat. Beyoncé, Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me"); they are anything but average.

"Haunted" and "Superpower" are unique in a sense that "they have less choreography than [Beyoncé] usually does, it's a little less performance, it's a slightly different tone than what she usually does." His challenge with these two videos was to take Bey to places she's never been, to push her out of her comfort zone.

And boy, did he.
