Bow Wow is in the doghouse as of late.
The 25-year-old rapper found himself in the courtroom this week sorting out the child support particulars with ex-girlfriend Joie Chavis, the mother of their 1-year-old daughter Shai.
There were accusations out there from Joie’s sister claiming that Bow Wow wasn’t barking up both money or quality time with Shai and after what surfaced from their legal talks, it appears to be true.
Bow Wow is signed to Cash Money Records, yet has suspiciously less of it than you’d imagine a boastful rapper would. According to testimony reports, he admitted to the judge he earns somewhere around $4,000 a month before taxes, and currently leases his Jeep. He did eventually agree to pay $3,000 a month in child support, but for someone who claims to only have a grand total of $1,500 in his checking account, how does that even add up?
This question, of course, is what had Joie fighting with Bow Wow over how much he’s exactly worth and what he should pay per month. Bow Wow was officially named the host of hip hop show “106 & Park,” yet didn’t make any mention of the gig to the judge in his court appearance, which surely will take this into account when a ruling is made in December regarding his permanent child support order.
Looks like Bow Wow is the Best in Show when it comes to giving legal loopholes regarding supporting your own kid the obstacle-course hoop-jumping run around.
