Britney Spears and will.i.am have a new “song” out (hey, that’s what they’re calling it) and let’s just say it doesn’t sound so hot. The bloated mess of Eurotrash called “Scream & Shout” sounds like a cross between the Scissor Sisters’ “Let’s Have a Kiki” and a cat stepping all over a keyboard while Garage Band is running, so it manages to innovate nothing really. However, that’s not the part we’re excited about.
We’re excited about the video. Because when something doesn’t sound so hot, you just know the accompanying visuals will be a bonafide hot mess. The duo are set to premiere a music video for the track on the “X Factor” this Wednesday and judging by what we’ve heard of the lack luster single so far, this is shaping up to be the “Liz & Dick” television event of pop music. For the ages, not to be missed, and something to get drunk to even though you have work the next day. Squeal!
All we know about the video so far is that Brit Brit slips into a black two piece courtesy of some photos from the set that hit the web last month and a tweet from her manager Adam Lebel that says there’s “no dance break.” This reveal begs the age old riddle then: If a Britney Spears doesn’t dance in a music video to distract you from her voice, does it make a sound?
