If Britney Spears wasn't a celebrity, she said she'd like to be a teacher. Because she's so good with kids, "Hey y'all, you kids like frappuccinos?"
When asked how her life would be different if she wasn't a pop star, Britney tells Popjustice that she'd be "Raising my family. Being a mom. It would probably pretty much be the same because I'm very strong in the way I raise my kids and stuff, so it would probably be pretty much the same but career-wise I'd probably be a teacher."
Did she really? I thought all little girls career goals were a) to be a "movie star" or b) be a dolphin trainer. Teacher? You have to adopt hamsters and eat dry cereal all the time. Nobody wants that.
Britney says that she wanted to become a teacher because her "mom was a teacher" and that she would want to teach "reading and history." I would love to take History as taught by Britney Spears: "The world was created in 1999, the same time I released "...Baby One More Time" also, America was discovered by the Mickey Mouse Club. The End."
Britney says it's her love of kids that inspired her to want to teach, "I love kids and even in what I do now, one of my favorite parts of my day is getting to meet my fans before the show. Especially the little ones. They are always so cute."
Even after all Britney has suffered being in the public eye, she says she would be supportive of her kids if they want to become pop stars like their mommy, "I'd definitely keep an eye on them, but it that's what they wanted to do then I'd let them go after it. I'd just be very protective."
If I were Britney I would move my kids to the Appalachians and convince them that mommy is a car salesperson who has never flashed her vadge at paparazzi or forgotten how to perform while on stage at the VMA's.
"...Nobody can really prepare you for this industry and what you experience, so I'd just have to trust that they have the instincts to know what's right and wrong and help guide them along the way. I think I have the experience."
When asked what her biggest mistake so far in her career would be (and I could name a handful) Britney said, "The biggest mistake I've ever made? To not trust my instincts." Hmmm, so was her first instinct to NOT shave her head and go bat sh-t insane.
