If you watched Britney Spears’ new music video, "Hold It Against Me" you were probably a bit confused.
The whole thing felt more like a commercial for Sony, her perfume and plentyoffish.com rather than an actual music video. There was absolutely no subtly in their product placement and now we know why.
According to TMZ, Britney netted $500,000 for various product placements.
The most obvious had to be the dating site Plentyoffish.com, who reportedly forked over six figures to be featured in Brit Brit’s video.
It was a good investment for them since they’ve had a 20% boost in traffic since the day the video premiered.
