Of all the things that Britney Spears has been accused of over the years, this might be the most scandalous.
During a recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” singer and actress Eve made the claim that it is not Brit’s voice on will.i.am’s new single “Scream & Shout.”
Here’s the conversation that unfolded:
Andy Cohen: What did you think of Britney’s accent on her new song with will.i.am? Have you heard it?
Eve: I heard that might not be Britney. I mean…
AC: Really? Why? It’s someone else in the studio?
E: That’s what I heard. But, you know. I don’t know… It could be Britney. But I heard it wasn’t.
The confession set off a collective GASP! across the Internet on Thursday, with die-hard Britney fans marking the “She Bad Bad” singer up at number one on their sh*tlist.
A rep for Spears tells Stereotude claims that Britney is not singing in the track are "completely not true." The rep adds, "Britney absolutely sings on 'Scream & Shout."'
Meanwhile, in other Britney news, the video for the “Scream & Shout (Remix)," featuring Diddy, Hit Boy, Lil Wayne and Wake Flocka Flame, hit Youtube today. And, unless there’s some seriously impressive CGI tomfoolery happening here, it’s the real Britney moving to the beat.
