Broken Bells stopped by the Vic Theatre in Chicago on their tour in support of their most recent album After the Disco and apparently it was quite the experience to behold. The duo, made up of James Mercer from the Shins and Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton teamed up just over four years ago and we still haven't seen them in concert together. Our favorite description of the pair during their show came from Consequence of Sound, who called the guys, "business-casual reverends of an alien cult." Let's try and get an idea of what that means from a fan perspective via trusty social media.

Fans apparently waited in long lines out in the snow to get into the concert.

But once they were in, it looks like things got amazingly weird.

Dressed in sharp suits, they didn't break their focus throughout the whole show.

Their space commander-like set ups tied in with the different celestial projections behind them.

Now we're starting to understand what CoS meant by their description… If not, this video should help paint the picture.

Instagram photos and YouTube videos don't do them justice; we'll just have to experience this show in person. For tour dates go here!
