Bruce Springsteen To Perform At Superbowl

Following in some pretty legendary footsteps, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have been given the honor of performing at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show.

Past performers have included Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, U2, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Prince.

Let's not forget Miss Janet Jackson and that "wardrobe malfunction" back in 2004. This year's Super Bowl competition will take place on February 1, 2009 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

According to the stats, in 2008, the halftime show boasted nearly 150 million viewers in the U.S. alone. The Boss can beat those numbers with his eyes closed.
