Bruno Mars Performs

Bruno Mars gave a special performance of his Twilight song “It Will Rain” on the Ellen DeGeneres show today, only after the entire cast of Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 sat on Ellen’s couch and gave the prettiest interview on daytime television. Well, it was more like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson sat on the couch while everyone else huddled around.

Because Twilight opens in theaters tonight, the entire hour of the Ellen Show was dedicated to the film, so it was only fitting that Bruno Mars closed out the show with a performance of “It Will Rain.”

If you haven’t heard Bruno’s song “It Will Rain” from the Breaking Dawn: Part 1 soundtrack, then make sure you have some Kleenex on hand. It’s a pretty weepy song.

Mars serenaded the Ellen audience of mostly stay-at-home moms with his soulful croons and amazing voice. Naturally, Mars wore sunglasses at what was an indoor concert, but hey, Mars is one of the best-dressed men in pop music, he can do no wrong in my eyes. Let him wear sunglasses indoors.

Oh also, while he sang, he was backed by a 7-piece band, including cellists and violinists while fog wafted up from the floor. That’s fancy.

Fun Fact: Bruno made his television debut on Ellen a little over a year ago when he performed “Nothin’ on You” with B.o.B.

In other Bruno Mars news, earlier this week artist Adam Lambert and Bruno Mars were tweeting back and forth in what some are calling a “twitter bromance.” God bless the internet.

So anyways, Adam Lambert tweeted at Mars, “Can't get @BrunoMars 'It Will Rain' out my head! Gorgeous melody and vocal!"

To which Bruno replied back “@adamlambert Thanks bro.. Sometimes i wish i didn't write it in the key of what the f**k... #SongsForSquirrles.”

I don’t know if Adam Lambert really wants to collaborate with Bruno Mars or what, but this isn’t the first time he’s poured out his love and into his twitter feed.

Earlier this year he attended a Bruno Mars concert and immediately started tweeted like some kind of 13-year-old fan girl.

“@BrunoMars was amaaaazing tonight! I was already a fan of his album but after seeing him do his thing live... Daaayum! Inspired!" and then moments later he wrote, “Haha AAANYWAY- @BrunoMars' Liquor Store Blues was on fire tonight. (my fav) And his guitar solo in Grenade?! Siiiiick."
