Carly Rae Jepsen Tweets Very 90s Artwork For New Album

Carly Rae Jepsen, creator of the most viral song ever (there’s a 72% chance you had “Call Me Maybe” stuck in your head when you started reading this, and a 99% chance that you do now that you’ve read the title), has released the artwork for her upcoming debut album, Kiss, out September 18th.

It looks super late 80s/early 90s, like those old LA Gear ads. 26 year old Carly herself looks a little frizzy but otherwise gorgeous, though her outfit—red oversized tee, aqua striped shirt, purple bow belt—is kind of weird in an uninteresting way.

The pose is definitely an improvement from the awkward squat she pulled on the cover for her “Call Me Maybe” single.

She tweeted the album artwork today to her over 2.25 million followers, and will be releasing Kiss (which will feature “Call Me Maybe” and her single with Owl City, “Good Time,”) on September 18th, with the rest of the planet’s recording artists.
