Carrie Underwood plays a bad girl in her new video for “Good Girl.”
Actually, Underwood plays herself, a good girl, in a white dress and side swept bangs, but then counters that version of herself playing a bad girl dressed all in black and rocking some Taylor Swift bangs. Actually “bad girl” Carrie Underwood is kind of exactly like Faith Hill in the NBC Sunday Night Football intro. So not “bad girl” at all, but rather, just wearing a black dress and boots.
Remember when listening to country music was a bad thing? Well, Carrie Underwood makes it cool. She’s perfected that unique mix of pop rock and country pop and it’s perfect. She should do a duet with Kelly Clarkson, I’m actually surprised that hasn’t happened yet.
“Good Girl” is the first single of her third studio album “Blown Away” which drops May 1.
So far so good, it seems like we’re going to see more of the “dark” side of Carrie Underwood, much like her “Before He Cheats” single. And that ish was dark! Keying a car? Faith Hill would NEVER!
“I have always been a fan of songs that have attitude, but the ones I’m talking about have a darker storyline. It seemed to be what the album wanted, so I decided to roll with it,” says Underwood.
