Celine Dion Cancels 4 Months of Concerts Due to Injury

Celine Dion has inflamed vocal chords and has had to cancel the next four months of her Las Vegas residency.

Oh man, somebody just pulled an “Adele.” Also from now on, whenever a singer cancels anything, we're calling it “pulling an 'Adele' hashtag #Adele.” For example, “Rihanna has been hospitalized for exhaustion and pulls an Adele canceling all her 2012 tour dates #Adele.”

In all seriousness, legendary voice Celine Dion came down with a virus that wreaked havoc on her vocal chords and now they are inflamed. That's doctor speak for…No singing y'all!

Dion has a three-year engagement at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and performs sold out shows nightly. She's about one-year into her stint and reportedly should be fine to resume performances on June 9.

Earlier this week, she apologized to fans on her website, “I tried to sing at my sound-check last week, and I had no control of my voice whatsoever. We thought that after a few days rest I would improve but it wasn't getting any better. Obviously this is the worst thing for a singer - not being able to do your shows. I feel worse knowing that I'm disappointing my fans. I'm so sorry. I hope they forgive me.”

We forgive you Celine, now how about giving us a break on those $250 show tickets!? C'mon!
