Five years and $400 million dollars later, Celine Dion has finally ended her 'A New Day' run in Las Vegas. Dion performed her final show at Caesars Palace on Saturday.
The show, which has been seen by over 300 million fans, opened to poor reviews when it first debuted. Five years later, its one of the highest grossing Las Vegas shows.
She says, "At one point, it was like feeling like the Titanic was about to sink again. But we believed and we went on with it. Even though the vibe was not that positive for us."
Don't expect Dion to retire just yet, she's already planning her world tour! As for Vegas, Bette Midler will be taking Dion's place at Caesars Palace with 'The Showgirl Must Go On,' due to open in February of 2008.
