All eyes on Kevin Lamar McCall Jr., or K-Mac for short…
The recording artist had us at hello with his appearance in Chris Brown's “Deuces” in 2010 and has kept the pace going strong.
McCall rocketed into the music industry in 2009, producing 10 tracks from Brown’s mixtape In My Zone. Shortly after, Breezy signed the rising star to his label Chris Brown Entertainment where he currently records, along with RCA Records.
Three years later you can hear Kevin in his newest, self-released mixtape Definition.
“I named it 'Definition' because I want this mixtape to really define who I am in the music game and define who I am as a person and as an artist,” he told Rap-Up TV on the collage's inspiration. “Things like crazy, cool, creative, I want all of those words to jump out at you.”
He also described the release as “a good collective mix of R&B and rap.” The mixtape features collaborations with 2 Chainz, Tank, Problem and mentor Brown…
Born in Watts, CA, McCall grew up in a large family. He earned a degree in Social Science from Washington State University where he studied music and fine-tuned his songwriting abilities.
Now, he’s taking to the music scene like a seasoned vet. and you’d be crazy not to listen up. As his new track “Sweetest Joy (feat. 2Chainz)” puts, it: “It’s K-Mac, bitches…”
