First Listen: Chris Brown's New Song

Chris Brown is slowly turning into an electro head. Brown just debuted his newest song, “Turn Up the Music” and following in the footsteps of Rihanna’s massively successful “We Found Love” track, Brown’s new song is a total dance/electro track.

At first listen, it’s like some DJ did a mash-up of a Chris Brown and David Guetta song. Goodbye hood rat Chris Brown, hello dance party Chris Brown.

That being said, the song is awesome and I kind of want to chug like 5 red bulls and listen to this song at like 5am in the basement of some club while some random dude gives a light show with glow-sticks.

This song is off Brown’s forthcoming album, Fortune, which will release in March.

This isn’t just an experiment in electro, Chris recently told fans to expect lots of dubstep on his new album. Uhhh, watch out Skrillex, you’ve got competition from Chris Brown.

This song actually isn’t a far cry from Chris Brown’s song, “Beautiful People” which was another club-ready “fist-in-the-air” kind of track.

Chris even gives a shout-out to fellow artists LMFAO with the chant, “If you’re sexy and you know it, put your hands up in the air!”

The rest of the song unfolds around basic lyrics, but it’s the dance hall vibe that makes this a song that will basically become the anthem for every group of girls driving to La Vegas for the next 6 months. Turn up the Music!
