Blake Shelton is the only member of The Voice judging panel that has yet to record a duet with Christina Aguilera.
She obviously rocked it with Adam Levine on Maroon 5’s track, “Moves Like Jagger” and Cee Lo recently revealed that he and Christina are working on some new stuff for her upcoming album.
So where is the country duet, Christina? You’ve got no love for Blake Shelton?
Blake tells Stereotude that he’s practically begging Christina to duet with him.
“Well you know, that’s an understatement to say that I’m open to singing a duet with Christina Aguilera, more like - I would pay her, I would beg her, I’ll wash her car, I’ll clean her house, babysit her kid, whatever I need to do to get that done,” says Shelton.
Christina tweeted at Shelton yesterday, “@blakeshelton Now we need to team up for a country duet Blake!!! I’m down!! Let’s go!”
But was Christina genuine?
“That would be a big deal to me,” says Blake, “I don’t know if she’ll really do it or not. She might just be trying to shut me up. On commercial breaks I always go over there and I’m like ‘Hey, are you serious about singing a duet?’ She’s like, ‘Yeahhh, ha ha ha, Oh look, I’m getting a text.”
