Selena Gomez and Christina Aguilera are dominating at the 2011 NCLR Alma awards this year.

Each of the ladies have picked up three nominations each, which is more than any other nominee. Their combined power is kind of like the “Twilight” nominations at the MTV movie awards.

The ALMA awards (or American Latino Media Arts Awards) will be hosted by Eva Longoria and George Lopez and honors Latinos in entertainment.

Both Gomez and Aguilera will go head-to-head in Favorite Female Music Artist and Favorite Movie Actress (Comedy/Musical) categories. Christina Aguilera was the originator of the “you are beautiful /comfortable in your own skin” type music, I’m sure she’s not exactly thrilled this copy-cat is nominated in the same category.

X-tina also got a nom for her work on “The Voice” while Selena was nominated for her work on “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
