Since Christina Aguilera’s last album, “Bionic” a lot has happened in her life. She got divorced, she fell in love again, she starred in “Burlesque” and she got a new gig on “The Voice.” Basically, Christina’s forthcoming album should have a lot of material to work with.
Christina Aguilera talked about her new album with Stereotude backstage at “The Voice.”
“I’m excited about it, I’m taking my time with it,” Christina tells ST, “It has to come from a personal place, a lot has gone on since my last album and I like to make it personal and make it come from the heart. All good things in due time.”
While we wait for that new album, Christina is enjoying herself on The Voice, and judging by her weekly verbal spats with the other judges it seems like things get a little heated! Christina assures us it’s all just fun-and-games behind that judges table.
“It’s all in good fun, we all believe in our teams. We all want to protect our team and start bantering if we feel that someone is picking on one of our contestants,” says Aguilera.
That’s one of the best parts of The Voice, how much the mentors love their contestants.
“I was almost crying for people on Blake’s team," confesses Aguilera, "They’re not even on my team. I’m in it, I’m feeling it and connecting with every artist up there. How can you not? It’s really fun, exciting but nerve racking at the same time.”
