It’s been three and a half years since Christina Aguilera has released an album, and we’ve definitely missed her! But she’s coming back this summer with a brand new album.
Christina has been focusing mainly on raising her little boy Max the last couple of years, and just recently wrapped on her first ever film Burlesque. And today she announced the news that her new album Bionic will come out on June 8th.
All week Christina has been teasing the first single off the album, “Not Myself Tonight,” including the lyrics and artwork. But we’ll have to wait until next week to hear it—Christina will debut the track Tuesday March 30th, and you can buy in on iTunes April 13th.
Christina said in a press release, "Working on this album with so many talented artists and producers that I admire was really an amazing experience. The artists I chose to work with added so many unique sonic layers to Bionic. My intention was to step into their world and what they do combined with my own vision and sound. The results were magic," she said of her collaborators, which include Sia, Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Linda Perry, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch and Ladytron, among others.”
She also stresses that this is a whole new sound for her. "It is something I don't think anyone will expect," says Xtina.
Big fans can check back tomorrow on ChristinaAguilera.com for a preview of the song!
