Report: Christina Aguilera Axed from 'The Voice'

Great. Who's Adam Levine going to fight with now? And who’s going to wear skintight dresses and try their best to walk in four-inch heels? I just don’t see Cee-Lo Green filling that role.

Despite the fact that she was confirmed for the next season of The Voice, Christina Aguilera is rumored to be off of the show after Season 2.

A source tells X17online.com: “She doesn't spend time with her contestants like she's supposed to.”

While a spokesperson for NBC denies the claims, saying, “There is absolutely no truth to the rumor,” the source insists:

“She doesn't participate. She spends most of her time on the set with her boyfriend."

Isn’t there a time out or something we can put her in before firing her completely? I mean, we need some estrogen on that show, and frankly, I can’t bear another three months of reporting “who’s the next judge going to be?” a la The X-Factor.

Earlier this summer, NBC’s exec Paul Telegdy said he was happy to announce all three judges would be returning:

“Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of 'The Voice' this year and we are thrilled they are all returning."

Hollyscoop also talked to Aguilera’s rival on The Voice, Adam Levine. We asked him about the so-called sibling rivalry on set.

“You mean [she] treats me like a human punching bag?” Adam asked us.

Woah! Maybe not everyone is upset about the rumor.

“We’re all emotional and excited and into the show, so it flares up sometimes,” Levine tells us, all joking aside. “But there’s no harm.”

Last season, Aguilera earned a whopping $225,000 per episode, while Cee-Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Levine earned $75,000. That's not exactly pocket change, but it still seems a tad unfair.

Christina’s reps are saying the rumors are “completely false.”

And at least one ex-contestant from The Voice is singing the praises of her coach. Frenchie Davis told E! News that viewers would be “pleasantly surprised” to know how much Aguilera cares about the contestants.

"I get the feeling that she really gives a damn about helping us evolve into better singers, better performers," Davis said. "And every interaction I have with her, I walk away loving her just a little bit more.”

So far, it looks like Aguilera is still locked in. Good. The last thing I want to do is more research on an ex Pussycat Doll.
