The brand new single, “So Listen” features T-Pain and sees Cody moving away from the teen heartthrob genre and into a new R&B-techno sound.

“This is incredible,” Simpson told us. “It’s all happen in one year. I was discovered a year ago this month. It’s wow, that is all I can say.”
Similar to Bieber, Cody became an overnight hit as a result of the web. “Yes,” he admitted. “Shout out to everyone who contributed to creating the internet. I guess I wouldn’t be here without them.”
As for the comparisons to JB, whom Cody has had the pleasure of meeting, he said, “Everyone that is coming into the industry that is new, they are always being compared to someone. I guess because we were both found on YouTube. I’m a big fan of his music, I think he is really talented. It’s flattering to be compared to someone so successful.”
When he’s not singing, Simpson is just like any other 13-year old kid. And most of his free time is spent on….Twitter! “I Twitter all the time,” Cody confessed. “If you ask my fans they probably ask, ‘What else does that guy do besides Twitter?’”
Simpson told us he’s going to stay in LA, since it’s “the place to be” if you want to be a musician. “I love this place,” he said. “But I miss all my friends and family. All my mates back in Australia.”
