UK pop favorites Coldplay and Lily Allen both made returns to the stage last night in London at Under 1 Roof, a children's benefit concert. It's almost been a full year since Coldplay graced the stage and Allen's time off from performing live has been far lengthier.

According to Rolling Stone, Coldplay bared few signs of rustiness as they tore through their classics and debuted 'Atlas,' their contribution to the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. As they returned for an encore, lead singer Chris Martin is reported to have said, "F*ck Coldplay songs, let's get ready for Christmas" before a choir joined them for a rendition of Bing Crosby's "White Christmas"

Later on, Lily Allen began her set by shyly apologizing for a lack of a band before performing her criminally infectious track "The Fear" with Martins accompanying on guitar and harmonies. She grew into the performance as the night wore on as if remembering her own talent. Surprise cameos by Robbie Williams and Ricky Gervais sent the whole place into as much of a frenzy as the British are capable of in good taste.
