Keri Hilson is hitting the road!
The R & B singer announced she is planning her first headlining UK tour later this year.
“There’s a lot of love for me in the UK,” Hilson said. “I realized I had to get back to you guys after promoting all around the world.”
She’s not exaggerating when she says there’s “a lot of love” for her in the UK. The “Lose Control” singer recently visited the UK and there’s a youtube video that shows her being ambushed by like 100 schoolchildren in matching navy blazers and skorts.
Do 10-year-olds really listen to Keri Hilson? Have these kids seen the video for “The Way You Love Me?” She wears a leotard and grinds on an exposed pipe, because you were wondering.
The feeling is mutual, because Hilson seems to like the UK quite a bit too. She hosted the 2009 MOBO awards in Glasgow, Scotland that year and is a fan of famous UK artists like Taio Cruz and Tinie Tepah, “I was so pleased to see Taio pick up a Billboard Award and things are heating up for Tinie Tempah in the U.S. which is great.”
Here in the states, “Lose Control” featuring Nelly, is the latest single off her album No Boys Allowed.
Additionally, Hilson won Video of the Year at the 2011 BET Awards for her song, “Pretty Girl Rock,” which features Hilson portraying famous African American women in music history such as Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandridge, and Janet Jackson.
