Back in April, Disney launched a full-blown investigation on Deadmau5's attempt to trademark his signature mouse head in the United States.
Deadmau5's black and white mouse head logo has been trademarked in over 30 countries already. Disney believes it would damage their business worldwide if Deadmau5's mouse head was trademarked because it is 'too similar' to their Mickey Mouse head logo.
Of course, Deadmau5 had some things to say on the matter, and took to Twitter to vent:
landed home to some interesting news: looks like Disney officially just filed in opposition of my trademark... lawyer up mickey.— deadmau5 (@deadmau5) September 3, 2014
Disney thinks you might confuse an established electronic musician / performer with a cartoon mouse. That's how stupid they think you are.— deadmau5 (@deadmau5) September 3, 2014
You heard that, Mickey? Lawyer up, Deadmau5 is coming for you.
